The R&S®QPS201 is a latest-generation millimetre-wave body scanner designed for automatic detection of potentially dangerous objects hidden under clothing or on the body. It is used in airport security, at public events with increased risk, and for access control in sensitive facilities.

The scanner provides unobtrusive, fast, and efficient screening. It consists of flat detection walls equipped with thousands of low-power antennas that rapidly transmit and receive millimetre waves, capturing finely resolved 3D data.

The person being scanned stands momentarily between the panels, arms slightly apart. The system uses machine-trained algorithms to detect anomalies, allowing it to identify unknown threats regardless of their nature.
